In October Metal Masters participated—for the fourth year in a row—in the Lennox Feel the Love program. Lennox supplied the equipment, and we supplied the labor to provide the gift of heating and cooling for three deserving families in southern Oregon.

Spreading the Love With Comfort

On October 7, we installed a new system for Matt and Melissa—residents of Grants Pass with three young boys. “It’s been kind of a nightmare,” Matt said of the struggle they’d had with their heating and cooling. Their older house needed a lot of updating and they lacked the means to replace the HVAC system. “This is a blessing beyond words,” Matt commented about being gifted the new heating and cooling system.

On October 9, we installed a new system for Charlene and her foster child in Klamath Falls. Charlene works for Head Start coaching teachers. She loves to entertain family at her home, but without air conditioning this has been very difficult. When asked what having the new heating and cooling system meant for her, Charlene replied, “to be able to have family dinners throughout the whole year… is going to be wonderful.”

On October 11, we installed a new system for Justin and Jesse in Medford. Over the last ten years they have endured one trial after another. They were both diagnosed with cancer, Justin lost his job, and their home burned down in the Alameda fire. Amid these challenges, they continued to give generously to the youth of our valley.

Their older home had a failing air conditioning system. In an attempt to stay cool, they placed ice blocks with fans throughout the house. In response to receiving the new HVAC system, Jesse had this to say, “For our kids, it just means the world to us knowing that they’re going to be comfortable and get a good night’s sleep. It’s just unbelievable.”

It’s Easy for the Community to Get Involved

We come away grateful every year we participate in the Feel the Love program. It is a privilege to serve our community and to meet some of the people that make it a great place to live.

We plan to participate again in 2025, and we’ll need your help to find deserving people in need of new heating and cooling systems for their homes. To learn more about the program, and to nominate someone, visit www.feelthelove.com.
