Bringing Comfort to Southern Oregon Families in Need
In October we brought heating and cooling comfort to three households in southern Oregon—free of charge—through the Lennox Feel the Love program. Lennox provided new HVAC equipment, and we provided the installations.
On October 6, we installed a new system for Javier and Maria in White City. Their HVAC system broke down about two years ago, and they have struggled since then with the extreme temperatures of winter and summer. Javier, who has not been able to work for a few months because of an injury, mentioned that he occasionally slept outside during the summer to cool off a little. He was very grateful for the gift of a new heating and cooling system.
On October 8, we installed a new system for Ryan and Veronica in Grants Pass. Their HVAC system had never worked for the four years they had lived there. The house was especially hot in their kid’s bedrooms during the summers. “I don’t even have words for how incredibly thrilled and happy I am that this is happening”, Veronica said about receiving the new system.
Finally on October 10, we installed a new system for Maria in Klamath Falls. She had been without heat for the last two years. Extra blankets, a couple of small space heaters, and turning the stove on in the kitchen were her only means of surviving the freezing weather. Her house will now be warm and cozy in the winter, and cool in the summer.
It’s Easy for Anyone to Get Involved and Help
All it takes for you to help is to nominate someone deserving and in need of a new heating and cooling system. You can nominate people year-round at www.feelthelove.com. During the late summer, the final three recipients are decided on, and the installs happen during the month of October.
It is very rewarding to play a part in this program and help bring comfort to our communities in southern Oregon. We look forward to participating again in 2026.
